Contact and booking inquiries

When you contact us via the inquiry form or by email, we process the data you provide (name, email address, phone number if given, travel dates and message) to handle your inquiry and any follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures). We do not pass this data to third parties and store it only as long as needed to handle your inquiry or booking, and beyond that only within statutory retention obligations.

Hosting and server logs

This website is operated by a European hosting provider that processes data on our behalf (processor pursuant to Art 28 GDPR). When you visit the site, technical access data (IP address, date and time, page accessed, browser type) is automatically processed in server log files. This is based on our legitimate interest in operating the website securely and reliably (Art 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log data is deleted automatically after a short period.

Cookies and local storage

This website uses no tracking or marketing cookies and no analytics services. Only technically necessary storage is used (§ 165(3) TKG 2021), which does not require consent: a session cookie for the protected administration area (administrators only) and local browser settings for the accessibility options and the cookie notice confirmation. This data never leaves your device.

Weather and panorama camera

The weather forecast and the panorama image are retrieved and cached by our server. Your browser does not connect to any third-party servers; no personal data is transferred to third parties.

Videos (YouTube)

Embedded videos are only loaded when you actively click "Load content". Only then is a connection to YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd.) established in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and your IP address transferred to YouTube. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.

The overview map on the "Location & Arrival" page is served as a static image from our server (map data © OpenStreetMap contributors) — no third-party servers are contacted. Only when you actively click "Load interactive map" is a connection to openstreetmap.org (OpenStreetMap Foundation, UK) established and your IP address transferred there. Links to external services (such as Google Maps for route planning, our review profiles on Booking.com and Google, or the Kärnten Werbung booking system) likewise only open after you click them; the privacy policy of the respective provider then applies. The guest reviews and rating figures shown on our website are plain text served from our own server — simply opening the page transfers no data to Booking.com or Google.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can complain to us (info@villa-sole.at) or to the Austrian Data Protection Authority: Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.

Spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA)

To protect our forms from abuse we use Google reCAPTCHA v3 (Google Ireland Ltd.). When you open the form pages, data such as your IP address and interaction data is transferred to and analysed by Google; Google may also set and read cookies on your device. To that extent, the statement above about purely technically necessary cookies applies to the form pages only to a limited degree.
